Quality and innovation
The history of Modulnova began 30 years ago (in 1988) in Friuli, Prata di Pordenone, on the initiative of three brothers: Dario (now president of the company), Giuseppe and Carlo (both directors of the Board of Directors) Presotto. The Presotto family has been in the world of furniture since the late 1940s (the grandfather began as a carpenter, the father continued with a company specialising in children’s bedrooms until 1987) but it was with Dario, Giuseppe and Carlo that the entrepreneurial adventure really began. From the choice of the name (which is inspired by the module and modularity, a tribute to the “modulor” of Le Corbusier), the goal has been very clear: to propose a kitchen system that can be customised and “tailored” for the customer, that is able to satisfy both the stylistic and functional needs with taste and formal rigour. A tailored approach that today characterises the entire range of the Friuli company: commencing with the production of kitchen systems, Modulnova subsequently expanded its range to also include the bathroom and living room sector. A success that is firstly attributed to the perfect harmony, the understanding and planning that drive these young entrepreneurs but also having the belief early on that to be a trendsetter, the kitchen demands innovation and design with absolute attention to continuous market changes and styles of living and dwelling. The collaboration with Andrea Bassanello, art director of the company, led to consolidating the style of the Modulnova brand in a specific and highly recognisable direction. A creative design inspired by essential lines, the use of new materials (such as Kerlite and glass) and the introduction of new production systems enable the production of furniture that acquires value over time, resisting the fashions and tastes of the moment.
